The continual scene flow style drags the viewer along in an unstoppable and inevitable fashion, giving you the sense of being inside the experience along with the characters.

No one thanks him for that message, in fact he's straight up told to fuck off. He only gets any thanks when he delivers the second message about Blake's death. It's for that he's actually given any recognition for caring and sacrificing so much as a messenger. No thanks are given to him for caring about the lives of hundreds of men, only for caring about the death of one man. But for him, that's enough. He ends where he begins, and the war machine continues on.

The idea that scofield had to cut off the thoughts of everything he loves in order to survive was a fascinating conceit. When you here tom talking about home, like it's something within reach, scofield refuses acknowledge it. There are times he looks in the tin to get a glimpse of the picture, but is that just because he needed to every now and again take a peek at what is waiting for him. This part of the movie gave me chills just bunch of mixed up emotions, I didn't know what to feel.
